Vice Chancellor’s Office
The Vice Chancellor’s Office leads University Advancement in supporting UNCG’s mission and strategic plan by engaging alumni and friends and strengthening philanthropic support for the University. As a member of the Chancellor’s Council, the Vice Chancellor serves as a partner and resource to other senior University leaders in addition to overseeing all activities of the University Advancement team, including communications, operations, development, alumni engagement, and philanthropic engagement.
University Communications
University Communications supports campus partners and assists media outlets to help share the UNCG story of opportunity, excellence, and impact of all Spartans. Through consistent execution of internal and external communications across the University, together, we build connections benefiting our campus and community.
Advancement Operations
The Advancement Operations team is a critical resource for the division and campus community as the support they provide enhances communication and engagement with our constituents. Their work includes prospect research, gift processing, CRM/data management and analysis, and human resources and business functions.
Alumni Engagement & Advancement Communications
The Alumni Engagement and Advancement Communications team builds relationships through high-impact storytelling and programming for our donors and community of over 145,000 alumni. Their work includes developing alumni regional networks, academic and organizational alumni affinity groups, Vanguard class reunions, producing UNCG Magazine, and leading annual giving efforts.
Development
The Office of Development works to secure private funds to support our students, faculty and staff, programs, and facilities. We understand the University’s needs and partner with alumni and friends to help them find unique opportunities to support and advance UNCG’s mission in a manner that fits their philanthropic vision. Our office includes Leadership Annual Giving, Major Gifts, Planned Giving, and Corporate and Foundation Relations.
Philanthropic engagement
Philanthropic Engagement creates connections and strengthens relationships between UNCG and its constituents through intentional stewardship, exceptional event experiences, and curated volunteer opportunities. Our Donor and Board Engagement team manages gift agreements, named spaces, giving societies, award nominations, and volunteer boards and committees. Our University Events team plans Commencement, Advancement events, and many signature events led by the Chancellor.
