As you start your new chapter as a college graduate, you can help “pay it forward” for all those hardworking Spartans coming up behind you. By making a small gift in honor of your accomplishment (at least the amount of your class year — for example, $20.25), you can help ensure other students like you finish their studies and earn their degrees.
Making this gift will also make you eligible to wear a special philanthropy cord during Commencement to recognize your dedication and commitment to UNCG.
That gift can help students in any number of ways, and you can support the area that means the most to you! Here are some of the funds that students like you have supported in the past:
- The Spartan Food Insecurity Fund
- The Student Assistance Fund for Emergencies (SAFE)
- The UNCG General Scholarship Fund
- An academic department or college
There are so many other options, too — where you give back is totally up to you!

Homecoming
Alumni, students, faculty, staff, and community members come together each fall for UNCG Homecoming — a tradition for over 50 years. The Block Party, Bonfire, and men’s soccer game are just a few of the gatherings we look forward to every year!

Our biannual Red Carpet Reception is a tradition where we literally roll out the red carpet for our new graduates — offering a special toast and welcoming them to our UNCG Alumni community.
