Light the way: The Campaign for Earned Achievement
UNC Greensboro welcomes learners with promise and drive – and opens the door, opens their minds, and helps them achieve more than they thought possible. Students thrive here, at the University of history and substance, or world-changing research and scholarship.
Together, we are strengthening student access, academic excellence, and the tremendous impact of our programs.
“In a world that’s constantly evolving, your steadfast generosity makes an enduring difference. Thank you for investing in our students, faculty, and staff — you help talented Spartans realize their potential and shape the future as innovators and leaders.”
— chancellor Franklin D. Gilliam, JR.
Learning outside the textbook: Zach matthews
Patients deserve well-prepared providers, like Zach Matthews. Bolstered by the Susan Morris Safran Merit Scholarship in Nursing, Zach earned a B.S. from UNC Greensboro’s School of Nursing in 2017 and entered the workforce ready to care for the people of the Triad.
EMPOWERING MORE YOUNG SCIENTISTS: Edna Tan & Ti’Era Worsley
The Hooks Distinguished Professorship in STEM Education provides resources for Dr. Edna Tan and postdoc researchers to make real-world impact on STEM education while inviting more youth into the field. Dr. Tan’s research is changing the national conversation on designing youth-centered, rigorous STEM teaching and learning environments.
expanding the reach of genetic counseling: raj baskaran
UNCG’s Theodore and Loretta Williams Graduate Research Award grant allowed Raj Baskaran to make his mark by using videography to reach families who might be at risk for hereditary cancer syndromes.
