At UNCG Homecoming 2026 this Oct. 2-3, returning alumni can find both familiar traditions and new ways to celebrate. Registration closes Sept. 30.
What’s new? “This year we’re highlighting alumni in the many aspects of Street Fest: our main stage performers are alumni, all of our vendors and majority of our food trucks are Spartan owned,” says Executive Director of Alumni Engagement and Advancement Communications Alejandra Merheb. “We’re excited to show the depth and breadth of our alumni community!”
Also new: milestone reunion classes (ending in 1 or 6) will be celebrated under a special tent on Stone Lawn complete with special reunion swag and Graduates of the Last Decade (Classes of 2016-2026) will be able to enjoy a special event prior to the Bonfire. Homecoming traditions like the Bonfire, the Black Alumni Network’s Family Reunion, and Men’s Soccer are also back. The Spartans take on Furman on Saturday night.
“While we are excited to see our alumni on campus, we know that many won’t be able to join us,” Merheb says. “If that’s true for you, we’d love to send you ‘Homecoming in a Box.’ It’s a great way to experience our signature events on a smaller scale and includes an iconic t-shirt, a few surprise items, and more.” Homecoming in a Box can be purchased until Oct. 1.
